John Waters

Socratic Ideas is delighted to present John Waters, “a star of AS/A2 teaching” (Times Educational Supplement) who leads a highly successful Religious Ethics and Philosophy department with over 200 GCSE students and 80 AS/A2 students.

John is co-editor of the Sixth Form journal Dialogue, an experienced GCSE and A level examiner, a regular contributor to Teaching Think!ng, and for the past 10 years he has delivered training to over a thousand A level teachers on Ethics and Philosophy of Religion.

Teacher Seminars and Student Conferences

If your school, or a cluster of centres, wishes to invite John Waters to deliver training to teachers or speak to AS/A2 students on either Religious Ethics or Philosophy of Religion, bookings are now being taken for 2009/10.

John Waters was nominated for Teacher of the Year Award 2007. His latest departmental A2 results were 100% A-B (70% A grades); at GCSE 98% A*-A, (83% A*).
