Socratic Ideas
Socratic Ideas is committed to producing informative, engaging and vibrant classroom resources for the teaching of Religion, Philosophy and Ethics in secondary schools.
Our resources range from CD-roms of power-point presentations covering moral and philosophical issues to DVD interviews with contemporary philosophers exploring topics which relate to the major examination syllabuses.
Following popular demand Socratic Ideas has created a Clipart CD-rom of over 150 prominent philosophers for use within schools which may be placed on the centre’s V.L.E. We also have Philosopher Reward Stickers and the acclaimed Moral Philosophers’ Periodic Table Poster.
All resources are available now and can be purchased either by email or post – please go to "Order Form" on the menu bar.
Our main writer John Waters is a practising classroom teacher who leads a thriving Religion and Philosophy department as well as being co-editor of Dialogue. He is available to deliver INSET to teachers and conferences for Sixth form students, for further details please go to "Conference Page".
Further resources to be released for 2009/10 include on DVD A Dialogue With Archbishop Desmond Tutu.
